Gymnasts from Midothian were celebrating after excelling in the Scottish National Gymnastics Champ-ionships in Perth.
Lasswade Gymnastics Club’s Rory Smith won the Inter Men’s all-around title on Saturday which he followed up the following day with individual apparatus golds the pommel horse, rings, and high bar, and silver medals on vault and for his floor routine.
The 13 year-old was runner up in 2016 and was happy to go one better this year.
He said: “It feels really good to win as I’ve spent months preparing, so to get the routines out without falling in any of them shows what I’ve been working is good.
“Coming into the competition I was a little nervous but I came second last year so I was hoping to one up myself and come first this year.
“Next week it’s the British Finals so this gives me confidence in my routines and I hope I can do well there as well.”
Peter Ritch, also from the Lasswade club in Bonnyrigg was third in the boys’ all-around competition.
