Scotsman Rugby Show: club round-up | Heineken Cup

SCOTLAND’S professional rugby teams are ready to do battle for one Heineken Cup place from next season and remain confident a new accord will be agreed with English and French clubs to enhance the competition.

This week’s Scotsman Rugby Show takes in the launch of the Heineken Cup and questions the competition’s key players on its future.

Scotsman rugby correspondent David Ferguson talks to the captains of Edinburgh and Glasgow alongside SRU chief executive Mark Dodson and Heineken Cup boss Derek McGrath.

Stuart Cameron of Borders Rugby TV also reviews the last few weeks of action from the Scottish club game.

The Scotsman Rugby Show will retun in a fortnight and will feature interviews with players and coach from across the Scottish club, pro and international game, and footage from club matches.

We welcome Ginger Grouse on board as our new programme sponsors and will be working with the popular Scottish drinks brand through the forthcoming autumn Tests and RBS Six Nations Championship, sharing in the big match day occasions with Scottish supporters and players.
