The Fife outfit remain six points clear, although they have played two more games ahead of the meeting of the teams at the end of this month.

George Hunter opened the scoring for Robbie Horn’s men in the eighth minute but the lead didn’t last long as Marc Berry drew the hosts level two minutes later.

A Scott-Taylor Mackenzie own goal restored the visitors’ lead just before the break and Daniel Baur scooped the ball into the net for a third seven minutes after the restart.

Hunter broke the offside trap to notch Rose’s fourth and his second of the afternoon and Lee Currie completed the scoring with his 50th goal for the club with 11 minutes remaining.

The visitors were the better side throughout but only had one goal to show for their efforts, Jack Smith finishing off a fine passing move six minutes before the half-time interval. Dougie Samuel’s men had further opportunities after the break to add to their lead, Gregor Woods coming closest, but Smith’s effort was enough to earn maximum points.
