Penicuik kayaker is in seventh heaven

Thirteen year old Louis Crosland, an S2 pupil at Penicuik High School picked up a total of seven medals recently at the Scottish Canoe Association Sprint Kayaking prizegiving in Linlithgow.

The haul, which included a mixture of gold, silver and bronze, was a rich reward for Louis’ efforts during 2011, including sterling performances at the Scottish Sprint Championships at Strathclyde Park and British National Championships at Nottingham.

The Scottish Championships were particularly rewarding, as he was placed in every race entered, winning one gold and missing out on another by .002 of a second!
