After the abysmal weather put pay to the best part of six weeks of fixtures, the three teams from Penicuik Cricket Club finally got back to playing on the weekend of July 21 and 22.
The 1st XI defeated Corstorphine by eight wickets, the 2nd XI won away at Preston Village by four wickets and the Sunday XI won by three wickets at home to Hawick.
This week-end saw the 1st XI and Sunday XI in action, with the 2nd XI game cancelled. The 1st XI continued their league campaign on Saturday at home to Edinburgh Accies.
Captain Kris Steel won the toss and elected to bowl with rain threatening. Play was delayed before a ball was bowled and the match was reduced to 38 overs a side.
