Bonnyrigg Rose aim to continue what has been a remarkable season by wounding holders Auchinleck Talbot in the first of a two-leg Emirates Scottish Junior Cup semi-final this Sunday.
In what has been dubbed the ‘match of the season’, the Rose will be looking to chase goals ahead of their second-leg trip to Auchinleck while keeping it tight at the back.
An excited club secretary Robert Dickson is expecting between 1500-2000 fans to turn up at New Dundas Park.
Taking time out from his duties at the ground on Monday, he told the Advertiser: “Auchinleck Talbot have been the kingpins of this cup over the last nine years – however, all good things must come to an end, and I have a gut feeling we will beat them.
“Our team is ticking over nicely, just like a Rolls Royce engine. We fear nobody. That is not being big- headed, it’s just a fact. We have the quality and depth of squad to compete against anyone.”
