Rose take the spoils

Penicuik were looking to redeem themselves after last Saturday’s awful performance against Livingston United and without a shadow of a doubt did so, but must count themselves very unlucky not to get anything out of the game.

Right from kick-off, they demonstrated the required commitment and attitude required to put any team on the back foot, and in the 15th minute, a lovely ball over the top of the Bonnyrigg defence picked out McPartlin who curled the ball into the six-yard box, but keeper Carlin was alert to the danger and cut out the cross.

Two minutes later, a cross by Gay into the box was met by Patterson, but his glancing header went wide of the goal.
