Rugby: Coyle stars in SMRH victory

Matt COYLE took four wickets as SMRH recorded their fourth win of the SNCL Championship season on Saturday by thumping East Kilbride.

Seamer Coyle was in superb form at Inverleith, finishing with figures of 4-31 as the visitors were bowled out for just 104.

Australian overseas amateur Brayden Tracey then led the way with the bat, the Australian finishing on 62 not out as SMRH won by nine wickets.

Despite a century from pro Dan Rixon, Edinburgh Accies lost to Poloc. The city side made 241 all out batting first, but it was not enough at Newfield.

RH Corstorphine lost at Renfrew by 82 runs, the Barnton men only managing 159 in reply to the hosts’ 241, Kashi Hussain top-scoring with 75 in vain.

West Lothian did win, though, bowling Stenhousemuir out for just 79 before knocking off the required runs with ease.
