The sponsorship will see the McKenzie logo feature on the front of the first XV, second XV, mini rugby and our veterans’ strips for season 2020/21 and the club has thanked all the team at McKenzie Skip Hire for their continued support.

Ally McKenzie from McKenzie Skip Hire said: “M McKenzie, Edinburgh’s oldest Skip Hire Company, is a local family business supplying skip hire and waste recycling services to Edinburgh, Lothians and the Borders.

“We are proud to continue to sponsor and support Penicuik Rugby Football Club especially through the difficult times this year has presented.”

M McKenzie added that it believes it is important to support clubs in the local community, especially at grass roots level, and are looking forward to seeing the club back in competitive action, hopefully when rugby resumes in the New Year.

Club president, Andy Law, said the support from the local firm was crucial, particularly during current times.

“As a club, we’re delighted to be able to continue our association with McKenzie Skip Hire for another season,” said Mr Law.

“Ally McKenzie has been a member of our Penicuik Rugby Family for as long as I can remember and it’s fantastic that he still feels so passionate about that link.

“We really couldn’t ask for anything more in a sponsor and we are hugely grateful for their support, particularly in such turbulent and uncertain times.

“One thing that is certain is that we’ll be working hard with the McKenzie family through the coming season to keep the relationship working well and we look forward to a successful year for both parties in spite of the pandemic restrictions.”
