Edinburgh Rugby set for move to Myreside
Edinburgh Rugby are set to play at Myreside for the second half of next season.
The SRU are believed to be in negotations to use the ground – home of Watsonians – from January to May next year with a view to making the move permanent should it be a success. It is understood Myreside’s capacity would reach 6000 with temporary stands.
Last February, the ground hosted a PRO12 clash between Edinburgh and Ospreys while BT Murrayfield was being used for the Six Nations.
An SRU spokesman confirmed: “Edinburgh Rugby and George Watson’s College can confirm discussions are being held and specific details will be announced in due course.”
