Midlothian athletes of all abilities are being offered the chance to run in one of Britain’s most prestigious road races – the Great North Run – by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF).
The charity has a limited number of places available for the half-marathon. The race through the streets of Gateshead and Newcastle is being held on September 16, and although the entry system closed at the beginning of July.
Natalie Tarrant, WCRF’s Senior Fundraising Manager, said: “We are giving free entry to people who can raise £350, and in return they get entry to one of the highlights of the UK running calendar. We also provide the full support of our dedicated events team as well as training and nutrition advice.”
