Whitehill Welfare entertained Vale of Leithen with a semi-final place awaiting the winners.
In a frantic start to the match, Welfare were 1-0 up after only five minutes, Aaron Somerville slotting home after some fine work by McIntosh and Munro.
After eight minutes Herd had a chance to double the lead when McIntosh was brought down in the box. Although the penalty was well struck the Vale keeper got down low to make an excellent save.
Herd quickly made amends, when after Steven Manson had got to the bye line and crossed into the box, the midfielder was on hand to slot home from 12 yards for a 2-0 lead.
