A record number of skiers took advantage of the fine weather last weekend as they joined in the annual Midlothian Snowsports Centre ‘Twin Peaks’ race.
The event is always very popular, but with the sun shining this year, the race attracted record numbers of skiers and spectators.
A total of 195 racers turned up for the day and crowds were kept entertained during the downhill race.
Councillor Bob Constable, cabinet member for property and facilities, said: “This was a great day for everyone involved and the day got off to a great start, particularly with the lovely weather we have been experiencing lately.
“It just goes to show that our ski centre is a great asset to the Lothian’s regions and beyond and a facility to enjoy all year round, not just when the snow is on the ground.”
