Tindle has place confirmed for World Junior Championships
Already picked for the 4x100 metres relay squad, the 18-year-old Edinburgh AC flyer appeared to clinch his individual event place with a fine run in Mannheim, Germany recently where he clocked a personal best of 20.82 secs.
After a worrying delay due to an apparent malfunction of the wind-gauge equipment in Germany, British officials have confirmed that they believe there was no significant wind assistance and the performance merited Tindle’s individual place.
He already had a time of 20.98 secs from last season.

Last year, Tindle represented Britain in the World Junior Championships in Columbia, where he reached the 200m final, and the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa where he bagged a 100m bronze medal.
“Bruce and I are absolutely delighted with the news,” said Gray.
Tindle joins Edinburgh clubmate and New Mexico University student Josh Kerr in the team, going in the 1500m.
