Whitehill Welfare’s preparations for the new season continued last Wednesday evening at Ferguson Park, where they defeated East Superleague side Bo’ness United 3-1.
Early goals from Jordan Hall and Scott Gormley had Whitehill in front, but Chris Hamilton pulled a goal back for Bo’ness.
In the second half Andrew Kidd scored with an amazing free kick from the halfway line which fooled goalkeeper Christie as it dipped in under the bar.
Whitehill team: Trialist; McGlashan, W Kidd, John Hall, Brown; Jordan Hall, Robertson, A Kidd, Manson (Dolan); McIntosh, Gormley.
On Monday, the draw for the first round of the William Hill Scottish Cup was made at Edinburgh Castle, and Whitehill were drawn against Highland League side Inverurie Loco Works. The tie will be played at Rosewell on August 25.
