Penicuik High School was the host for the first school hockey festival of the year recently.
Before the event the team was presented with new strips funded by the parents’ council. The shirts, shorts and socks all have the school emblem on them. The smart new kit seemed to pay off as they went on to come first and third in that event.
On December 7, the second festival took place.
This was meant to be held indoors at Beeslack High School but, due to exams, the hall was unavailable so the venue was changed to Penicuik High. Again Penicuik entered two teams and were joined by teams from Beeslack, Lasswade, Dalkeith/St David’s and Newbattle.
