Young Midlothian swimmers’ medal joy

All squads from Midlothian Swimming Club were in action at Prestonpans Swimming Pool recently.

The younger members of the club competed in the Iain MacFadyen Memorial Gala. For some swimmers this was their first chance to put all their training into practice and compete against other clubs from Edinburgh, the Lothians, and further afield.

All swimmers acquitted themselves well, and all produced personal best times during the day.

Amy Dinse got the club off to a great start with a sixth place in the 11-year-old 100m individual medley.

Fraser Wilson came fourth in the U-10s 25m butterfly, and Lewis Thomson finished fourth in the 50m breaststroke in the same age group.

Both mixed relay teams took third place in their respective age groups.
