Local Buzz: The Winter Tradition

The Winter Tradition are a noisy pop-rock quartet from Auld Reekie.

Their energetic live performances are emphasised by various dynamics that excite and involve the audience and they have succeeded in creating a sound that is instantly recognisable to any listener or follower.

A band with a big, sweeping indie sound, the Capital quartet have scored high-profile support slots with Enter Shikari, Hundred Reasons, The Dykeenies and Flood of Red, and they have enjoyed airplay on Radio One, BBC Scotland, BBC6 Music and XFM over the past year.

“We like to just let the music do the talking,” says bandmember Stephen Furbank. “The best way of getting someone into your band is playing them a track and letting them make up their own mind.”
