Thousands bring a little sunshine to Leith
From stalls selling street food and confectionary, to face painting and pony rides, there was something for everyone as the sun broke through the clouds and showers of rain on Saturday.
This year, guests were also treated to a selection of live music, before the traditional pageant took place.

He said: “The turnout this year was great, I think we had about 10,000 people attend.
“The gala day has something for everyone’s tastes, and it’s often an event people use to catch up with people they haven’t seen in years.
“There’s a real sense of community spirit.”
The traditional gala day pageant features groups from the local community, who aim to make the Links a “bright, colourful and not forgetting noisy big day out”.
